Job summary

Corenza is seeking a finance and operations professional to manage the general accounting for an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) in Mumbai. The role requires handling daily NAVs, financial statements, tax and regulatory compliance, and coordination with custodians, auditors, and regulators.

The candidate should have 3-4 years of AIF ops experience, familiarity with SEBI norms, and strong data reconciliation and spreadsheet skills to support investor reporting and financial performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting and finance with 3-4 years of relevant experience in AIF operations, preferably with an AMC or Fund Management entity , Cat-3 preferred.
• Knowledge of AIF processes, portfolio reporting tools, and financial software systems
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Familiarity with SEBI regulations and compliance norms in the AIF domain
• Has keen attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to keep track of large sets of information
• Strong aptitude for data analysis, reconciliation, problem-solving, as well as strong skills with spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Manage the general accounting function of an AIF
• Oversee the maintenance and completion of ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements
• Preparation of daily NAV calculation, quarterly financials, and investor reports
• Handle trade settlement and client account allocation
• Manage reconciliation of trade, holding, bank, etc
• Prepare MIS including cash flow, annual budget process and periodic analysis of financial performance
• Collaborate with bankers, custodians, auditors and external stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiencies
• Ensure all processes adhere to SEBI guidelines and other regulatory requirements
• Ensure timely compliance required for AIF with Income Tax laws, GST, SEBI and any other regulatory body
• Manage documentation for onboarding, periodic reviews, and audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that the practices are in line with the overall goals of the organisation.
