Job summary

Ciklum is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions in AWS, with a strong emphasis on MLOps and scalable platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value in agile cycles, ensuring explainability, cost efficiency, and compliance.

The role requires deep ML expertise, experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and model evaluation, plus hands-on cloud deployment and governance. Expertise in Python and modern ML frameworks is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science, ML, or AI Engineering.
• Strong expertise in ML, statistical modeling, optimization, and simulation.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML platforms on AWS.
• Solid knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, model monitoring, and governance.
• Experience with synthetic data, offline experimentation, A/B testing, and real-world validation.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with cloud-native data and analytics services on AWS.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in machine learning, cloud-based AI platforms, MLOps, experimentation frameworks, and model evaluation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver incremental value through agile development cycles while ensuring scalability, explainability, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML solutions using statistical modeling, machine learning, optimization, simulation, and Generative AI techniques where appropriate.
• Select and apply the most suitable modeling approaches based on business objectives and problem statements.
• Define and monitor evaluation metrics aligned with business KPIs, operational processes, and customer outcomes.
• Validate model performance using historical data, synthetic data generation, offline experimentation, and controlled real-world testing.
• Demonstrate measurable improvements in business decisions, operational efficiency, and process outcomes through data-driven solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery within agile 45-day versioned release cycles, ensuring each release provides incremental and measurable business value.
• Build, deploy, and maintain scalable AI/ML platforms and analytics products in AWS cloud environments.
• Implement and manage MLOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, retraining, versioning, and governance.
• Balance model accuracy, explainability, compliance requirements, and infrastructure costs when designing AI solutions.
• Optimize data processing, model training, inference workloads, and cloud resource utilization for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Architects, and Business Stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, Predictive Analytics, Optimization, and Simulation techniques.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML platforms on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps practices, including model lifecycle management, CI/CD, monitoring, and automation.
• Experience with synthetic data generation, offline experimentation, A/B testing, and real-world model validation.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-native data and analytics services on AWS.
• Strong understanding of model explainability, responsible AI, governance, and compliance considerations.
• Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization for data and machine learning workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, Vector Databases, and Agentic AI systems.
• Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts and modern data platforms.
• AWS certifications related to Machine Learning, Data Analytics, or Solutions Architecture.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum product delivery environments.
