Job summary

Uster Technologies in Coimbatore, India seeks a Senior AI Data Scientist to lead end-to-end ML/AI initiatives. You will work on computer vision, generative AI, and LLM-based solutions, translating business needs into scalable AI systems.

You will collaborate with software, product, and systems teams, optimize data pipelines and model training, and mentor junior data scientists while driving deployment into production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, AI Engineer, or related role
• Proven experience developing AI solutions from prototyping to production deployment
• Experience with ML, DL, and statistical modeling on real-world problems

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, evaluation, and deployment of ML and AI solutions
• Apply AI techniques including computer vision, generative AI, and LLMs to business challenges
• Translate requirements into practical AI concepts
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, model training workflows, and evaluation processes
• Design AI solutions for CV, anomaly detection, prediction, optimization, and intelligent automation
• Research and benchmark emerging AI tech, foundation models, and LLM ecosystems
• Collaborate with software, systems, and product teams to integrate AI into products
• Support industrialization of AI solutions from prototype to production

Senior AI Data Scientist

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, or a related role
• Proven experience developing AI solutions from concept and prototyping through industrialization and production deployment
• Experience applying machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling to real-world business and engineering problems
• Experience in one or more AI domains such as computer vision, machine vision, industrial AI, generative AI, large anguage models (LLMs), anomaly detection, prediction, optimization, or intelligent decision support
• Experience collaborating with software engineering, product, systems, and customer-facing teams
• Experience working with large datasets, model evaluation, experimentation, and performance optimization

Skills

• Strong programming skills, especially in Python
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and data science
• Experience with modern AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, OpenCV, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar technologies
• Experience developing, evaluating, and optimizing production-grade AI models
• Understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and prompt engineering
• Experience working with computer vision and image-processing systems
