Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience leading architectural design projects, preferably in a senior/supervisory role.

• Understanding of integration between architectural, structural, and building services for cohesive delivery.
• Familiarity with BIM/digital collaboration platforms and design tools.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or equivalents.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with mentoring ability.
• Knowledge of local building codes and Surat region approvals.

Role Description

The Senior Architect role at A J Architects is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. The Senior Architect will lead architectural design projects from concept through completion, including developing design proposals, preparing detailed drawings, and coordinating technical documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with clients and internal teams, overseeing project timelines, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and guiding junior staff members. The role also involves reviewing design integration with structural, MEP, and other disciplines, addressing construction-related queries, and supporting quality control throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, with a portfolio demonstrating complex design solutions.
• Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Understanding of Integration between architectural, structural, and building services to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Familiarity with Software Development concepts as they apply to design tools, BIM, or digital collaboration platforms is an advantage.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in leading architectural projects, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and support team members.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and approval processes relevant to projects in Surat and surrounding regions.
