IITM C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation (Samgnya) is the National Hub for Quantum Communication established under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India . Samgnya focuses on the development, testing, validation, deployment and commercialization of advanced communication and emerging quantum technologies.
We are looking for a Senior Applied Cryptography Engineer with practical knowledge of cryptography and secure communication to implement, test, integrate and improve security solutions . The candidate should be adaptable, capable of troubleshooting and upgrading systems, taking ownership of technical activities, and effectively communicating and sharing technical knowledge.
Design, implement and integrate cryptographic and security solutions , applying appropriate encryption, authentication, digital signatures and key management mechanisms for applications, systems and secure communication platforms.
Analyze technical and security requirements and recommend suitable cryptographic approaches, technologies, tools and libraries
Test, validate, troubleshoot and improve cryptographic and security implementations , including functional, security and performance testing.
Develop and evaluate prototypes, proof-of-concepts and technology demonstrations for cryptographic solutions.
Collaborate with software, networking, electronics and cybersecurity teams for system integration and project execution.
Prepare technical documentation, test reports and project updates .
Take ownership of assigned technical activities and contribute effectively
Master's degree in Cryptography, Electronics& Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
3+ years of relevant professional experience in applied cryptography, cybersecurity, information security, secure communication, cryptographic software, network security or related technology areas.
Hands-on experience in applying cryptographic techniques to real-world systems, including data protection, secure communication, encryption and authentication.
Experience in testing, troubleshooting, validating, upgrading or improving cryptographic and security implementations will be preferred.
Experience in cryptographic software development, security protocols, secure systems or network security will be preferred.
Experience working on R&D, technology development, prototype development or secure communication projects will be an advantage.
Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering or R&D teams will be preferred.
