Job summary

TheCodingShef is seeking a Senior Android Developer for a 6-month contract in Bengaluru. You will craft performant Android apps, modernize APIs, and build scalable frameworks while mentoring peers. Your work spans Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and Android SDK to deliver high-quality user experiences at scale.

Join a dynamic VX team focused on immersive viewer experiences, collaborating with designers, product partners, and engineers to ship reliable, avionced mobile features for a global audience.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of professional Android/mobile/TV development experience with Kotlin.
• Experience in native Android/TV apps with solid understanding of Android Architecture, Framework, Android SDK, Kotlin, Android Studio IDE.
• Proficiency with UI components and controls: Jetpack Compose, Action Bars, Widgets, Fragments, Navigation.

Responsibilities

• Drive app performance, stability, and reliability while monitoring key metrics.
• Lead modernization by migrating legacy APIs and UI tools to latest Android frameworks.
• Design, develop, and maintain core frameworks, shared components, and development infrastructure.
• Write clean, well-tested code and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.
• Define and uphold best practices, standards, and scalable mobile processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless experiences and prototypes for new tech.
• Mentor Android developers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
