Job summary

Truecaller is seeking a Staff Android Engineer in Bengaluru to design and develop the next generation of our high-performance Android SDK. You will work with designers, product managers, and engineers to turn ideas into reliable, scalable code across 150+ device types.

You will own features, drive architecture and testing practices, and contribute to privacy and security in all Android data interactions, delivering low-latency experiences for hundreds of millions of users.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Android development with Java, Kotlin, Coroutines and Dependency injection.
• Extensive hands-on experience with modern Android development tools and libraries including application lifecycle, asynchronous server communication, and UI components.
• Familiar with ad tech concepts, platforms, and best practices (mediation, bidding).
• Proficient with Git for version control.
• Strong testing skills with frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric and Espresso.
