Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Analyst - VMI in Chennai to support accounting activities and close processes. The role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, and data analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will work with MS Excel and ERP systems, performing month-end tasks, variance analysis, and coordination with internal teams to meet deadlines and maintain proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Finance (B.Com, BBA, M.Com, MBA Finance).
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP systems.
• 0–1 year of accounting/AP experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare reconciliations and follow up on open items.
• Assist in month-end close activities and variability analysis.
• Perform data extraction using Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS).
• Coordinate with internal teams and maintain supporting documents.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Senior Analyst - VMI located in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Good understanding of accounting basics, journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliation
• Journal posting, account reconciliation, clearing and basic GL analysis
• Basic understanding of cost centers, allocations, absorption and cost postings
• Execute close activities as per checklist and timeline
• Prepare reconciliations and follow up on open items
• Identify and explain basic month-on-month variances
• Prepare and post standard/manual journal entries
• Prepare recurring accruals based on inputs
• Reconcile balances and follow up on mismatches
• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, basic data analysis
• Follow process controls and maintain supporting documents
• Provide requested supporting documents
• Support investigation and provide transaction-level details
• Identify improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with internal teams for routine requirements
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Complete assigned activities and support peers
• Own assigned tasks and meet timelines

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• B.com / BBA(Finance) / M.Com / MBA(Finance).
• Good understanding on MS applications.
• 0-1 Year Exp in Accounting /AP Domain
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Good written/oral communication skills in English
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP Systems.
• Good analytical skills and should be a team player.
• Willingness to work in complex environment with strict deadlines on projects
