About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to join our Treasury Operations team. This role sits at the heart of day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the smooth execution of funding activities, settlements, and data-driven analysis across multiple currency corridors. The successful candidate will work closely with operations leads and the broader Treasury organization, providing both operational execution support and analytical insight.
Key Responsibilities
BAU Operations Support
- Support Treasury Operations leads in the execution of daily BAU activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing across all functions
- Manage end-to-end funding activities across multiple currency (CCY) corridors, including initiating, monitoring, and confirming fund transfers
- Execute and oversee settlements across various CCY pairs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls and cut-off times
- Monitor intraday liquidity positions and escalate potential shortfalls or anomalies to the relevant leads promptly
- Liaise with counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve settlement queries and discrepancies efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure appropriate documentation is in place for audit and compliance purposes
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Support the broader Treasury organization with data analysis, including liquidity analysis, FX exposure reporting, and cash flow forecasting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and MI packs to provide timely and accurate insights to senior stakeholders
- Identify trends, anomalies, and operational inefficiencies through data analysis and present findings with actionable recommendations
- Assist in month-end and period-end reporting processes, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems
Process Improvement & Controls
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk
- Support the documentation and maintenance of operational procedures, runbooks, and control frameworks
- Assist in the onboarding of new CCY corridors or counterparties, including operational readiness assessment and testing
- Participate in projects and initiatives led by the Treasury Operations or wider Treasury team as required
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams
- Collaborate with the Treasury Operations leads to ensure alignment on priorities, operational tasks, and escalation paths
- Support training and knowledge-sharing with junior team members as the team grows
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in Treasury Operations, Payments Operations, or a related financial services role
- Experience within a fintech, e-money institution (EMI), or Payment Institution (PI) environment
- Hands-on experience with funding and settlement processes across multiple currency corridors
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel and/or other analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI) preferred
- Solid understanding of FX markets, liquidity management, and correspondent banking arrangements
- Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and payment platforms
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under time pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction Treasury operations
- Professional qualification such as ACT (Association of Corporate Treasurers) Certificate or Diploma in Treasury, CFA, or equivalent
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to treasury and payments operations (e.g. PSD2, FCA requirements)
