Job summary

Nium is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst for Know Your Business (KYB) Operations to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk in real-time cross-border payments. You will conduct due diligence on financial institution clients, analyze data for accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement KYB strategies across markets.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, documentation liaison, and ongoing reviews to maintain current client information.

About the Role

Analyst/Senior Analyst in Know Your Business (KYB) Operations plays a critical role in ensuring compliance and risk mitigation conducting due diligence on Financial Institution clients of Nium. Their responsibilities include conducting due diligence checks, analyzing data for accuracy and completeness, identifying potential risks, and collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement KYB strategies. Their objective is to maintain regulatory compliance, safeguard against financial crimes, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence on Banks, PSPs, MSBs and other financial institution clients by conducting detailed analysis of KYC information and documentation received.
• Carry out risk assessment using internal & third‑party sources.
• Liaise with account managers and sales to obtain necessary documentation according to Nium’s policies & procedures.
• Perform periodic review of existing client accounts to ensure client information and documentation is always current and complete.
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of AML, KYC regulations and a complete understanding of client due diligence requirements.
• Report suspicious / high‑risk accounts to Nium's Compliance team.
• Work with Product & Technology teams to implement onboarding and EKYC workflows in new/existing markets.
• Monitor work position and report operational performance to the Operations leadership.
• Run projects to improve processes through simplification or automation.
• Work in a rotational shift environment. Also, given Nium operates across multiple geographies there are no fixed holidays, and we follow a flexible holiday schedule.

Requirements

• 2‑5 years of relevant experience in onboarding and conducting due diligence on financial services providers for downstream activities such as correspondent banking.
• Strong understanding of Global Client Due Diligence requirements and FATF recommendations.
• Prior experience in correspondent banking or FI onboarding at fintech/PSP companies will be an added advantage.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi‑task and keep calm under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other technology tools for end‑users.
• Flexible to work outside normal office hours and in rotational shifts to support operational requirements.
