Job summary

Northern Trust in Bengaluru is seeking a detail-oriented analyst to join our operations team. You will process and quality-check a wide range of dealing transactions, while supporting process changes that drive efficiency and accuracy.

The Senior Analyst will guide workflow and resource use within the team. The role requires a degree, strong communication and analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process and quality check a wide range of dealing transactions through internal systems, to regulatory and client standards.
• Provide input to process changes which would result in greater operational efficiency.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance to TA Analysts; Senior Analyst will support Team Leader with workflow distribution and staff resource use.
• Identify, document and disseminate new procedures and controls.
• Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
• May interact with committees and/or Senior Management.
• Serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to junior staff.
• Manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior staff (not a formal management role).
• Be technically sound and have broader knowledge of other areas.

Major Duties

• Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees

• Technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
• Delivers a work product that requires less revision
• Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
