Job summary

Walmart Global Tech India is seeking a Quality Analyst to drive quality governance, sampling strategies, and process improvements across catalog data operations. You will define standards, monitor quality metrics, and partner with Operations, Product, and Technology to enable scalable improvements.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, RCA/CAPA, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce defects and boost operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • 3–6+ years in Quality/Operational Excellence, preferably within eCommerce content, retail catalog ops, or large-scale data ops.
  • Quality Assurance & Governance, Statistical Quality & Sampling (Z-based), RCA/CAPA, Process Improvement (VSM/FMEA), Quality Analytics (DPMO, Sigma).

Responsibilities

  • Experience in quality audits, quality metrics, scorecards, governance, and standardization across processes/workstreams.
  • Hands-on experience in process improvement, waste reduction, RCA, CAPA, VSM, and FMEA.
  • Ability to analyze defects, quality trends, escapes, DPMO, Sigma levels, and identify improvement opportunities using data.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis, confidence intervals, margin of error, and sampling methodologies.
  • Identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions that improve quality or reduce manual effort.
  • Understand catalog/content quality including attributes, taxonomy, descriptions, images, compliance, data accuracy.
  • Independently track multiple initiatives, identify risks, drive mitigation, deliver outcomes.
  • Work with Operations, Business, Product, and Technology teams to align on quality initiatives.
  • Convert data into insights, dashboards, and leadership updates.
  • Proactively identify issues, develop solutions, and drive long-term improvements.

The team will also set standards for content acquisition and deliver high quality catalog across omni channel platform to provide better user & customer experience across thousands of Walmart stores and ecommerce businesses

eCommerce is a top priority and growth area for Walmart, all set to further accelerate with the growing internet penetration and smartphone adoption. As a member of the Content Acquisition Team, you would be working on improving Catalog data quality. It would involve driving quality and operational excellence across the domain of Catalog management, content operations, and data quality at scale. As the Quality Analyst for the Content Acquisition Team, you would be responsible for defining and executing quality governance frameworks, statistical sampling strategies, and process improvement roadmaps to drive measurable improvements in catalog quality, defect reduction, and operational efficiency.

What you will do
  • Experience in quality audits, quality metrics, scorecards, governance, and standardization across multiple processes/workstreams.
  • Hands-on experience in process improvement, waste reduction, RCA, CAPA, VSM, and FMEA.
  • Ability to analyze defects, quality trends, escapes, DPMO, Sigma levels, and identify improvement opportunities using data.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis, confidence intervals, margin of error, and risk-based/Z-based sampling or even sampling methodologies.
  • Ability to identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions that improve quality, productivity, or reduce manual effort.
  • Understanding of product catalog/content quality including attributes, taxonomy, descriptions, images, compliance, and data accuracy.
  • Ability to independently track multiple initiatives, identify risks/dependencies, drive mitigation, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong ability to work with Operations, Business, Product, and Technology teams and drive alignment on quality initiatives.
  • Ability to convert data into clear insights, recommendations, dashboards, and leadership-level updates.
  • Proactively identifies issues, develops solutions, follows through to closure, and drives improvements beyond immediate responsibilities.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Appropriate experience in Quality, Operational Excellence, or Process Improvement. 3-6+ years' experience in Quality / Operational Excellence roles, preferably within eCommerce content, retail catalog operations, or large-scale data operations.
