Job summary

Walmart Global Tech India is hiring a Product Manager for the Content Operations Team to drive catalog data quality improvements across our eCommerce ecosystem. You will shape the roadmap for search algorithmic enhancements and system capabilities, collaborating with operations, tech and product teams to deliver value at scale.

About Team

Content Operations Team is chartered with one of the initiatives to build an audit organization that validates vendor submissions (in terms of content and images) to meet Walmart's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Style Guides and work with vendors to retrieve additional information as needed. The team will also set standards for content acquisition and deliver high quality catalog across omni channel platform to provide better user & customer experience across thousands of Walmart stores and ecommerce businesses.

What You Will Do

eCommerce is a top priority and growth area for Walmart, all set to further accelerate with the growing internet penetration and smartphone adoption. As a member of Content Operations Team, you would be working on improving Catalog data quality. It would involve building products through software engineering in the domain of Catalog management, machine learning, big data etc. As the product manager for the Content Operations Team, you would be responsible for defining the roadmap for Search Algorithmic improvement, System Capabilities, etc

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years’ experience in Retail catalog Business/Program Management
  • Manage KPIs including Productivity, Quality, Utilization and Process changes across single or multiple categories
  • Analyzes data and is responsible for highlighting validation gaps, recommending solutions, driving/influencing inter-function decisions with ops, tech and product teams.
  • Ability to manage day to day deliverables across inhouse and external partner sites for the given category
  • Process expertise in category/product validation process within retail business
  • Ability to handle delivery management across transactional processing organization
  • Manage stakeholders through effective written and oral communication
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate process redundancy.
  • Work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Has problem solving skills and attention to details
  • Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detail-oriented
  • MS Excel proficiency – ability to mine voluminous data for specific detail according to instructions provided
  • Strong analytical skills – Ability to do high school level arithmetic
  • Familiarity with navigating the internet – research techniques on the internet and finding required
  • Mandatory Skills
  • Metrics management, transaction management, Analytical Skills, finding root cause of problem, ability to come up with new ideas, people development
  • Minimum Qualifications;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or related field and appropriate experience in Retail catalog operations, Marketing, Merchandising or information technology
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Retail catalog operations
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Design, Customer Experience, Data Analytics & Visualization.
  • Experience with a Supplier to Walmart or Agency in a role related to Item Setup, Product attribution
