Job summary

Dentsu is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join the Bangalore RTR team. You will drive payroll accounting, P&L and balance sheet analysis, and ensure timely month-end closure with robust controls.

The role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders and supporting forecasts, budgets and audit processes. Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in finance, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and experience with SAP BPC/BlackLine.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Payroll Accounting, P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, GL, inter-company & Record to Report processes.
• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC and BlackLine tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across regions.

Responsibilities

• Monthly Payroll Accounting and Analysis.
• P&L Intercompany balances reporting in BPC; clear mismatches.
• Intercompany recharges alignment with counterparts.
• Month End closure (MEC) delivery; finalization of P&L and Balance Sheet.

Job description

Dentsu is committed to drive a robust and consistent control environment and this role plays an important part of it. The lead will be part of RTR team based out of Bangalore and will work closely with the reporting manager to support and provide services to ensure a smooth month-end process and strengthen the control environment. She/he will need to collaborate across multiple groups of stakeholders and will have to manage the delivery of key tasks in relation P&L & Balance sheet Analysis and Financial Reporting, month end closure, Budgeting and Forecasting and other related activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Monthly Payroll Accounting and Analysis
• Reporting of P&L Intercompany balances in BPC and clearance of mismatches
• Identification and agreement of Intercompany Recharges with counterparts
• Delivery of Month End closure (MEC) activities including P&L and Balance Sheet finalization.
• Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations and required workings and commentary for BS calls.
• Support Manager/Assistant Manager in monthly/Quarterly financial reporting and control activities
• Prepare budget and reforecast preparation requirements and manage the BPC submissions.
• Responsible for maintaining updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), dashboards preparation and ensuring audit compliance.
• Deliver timely and error-free reports, KPI dashboards, non-compliance reports and other key process metrics to the stakeholders.
• Be a part of continuous improvement initiatives (CII) by identifying process lapses, offering best possible solution and lead Automation Projects (as & when identified).
• Manage ad hoc requirements and projects on financial control & compliance areas
• Supporting the Manager/Assistant manager in external audit process e.g. gathering documentation for the organisation's procedures/other audit supporting materials

Professional Skills

Finance Graduate/Postgraduate/Semi qualified Accountant with 8-10 years of experience in Payroll Accounting, P&L and Balance sheet analysis, GL, inter-company & Record to Report process.

Advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) and Blackline tool will be an added advantage. Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities. Agile and flexible to changing needs and adhoc requirements.
