Job summary

Merck Group in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead IT projects and services for our Manufacturing, Quality and Operations Technology applications. You will collaborate with global teams to implement MES solutions like Pas-X and ensure robust ITIL-driven service management.

You will own technical design of IT solutions, support automation through scripting, and maintain compliant documentation for GxP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with IT knowledge as stated.
• 5+ years of delivery management experience in industrial IT environments.
• Hands-on experience with Koerber PAS-X; Kubernetes and Docker preferred.
• Solid scripting and querying skills for automation and reporting.
• Strong ownership, self-motivation and remote collaboration in international teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT projects and services for business applications in Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations Technology.
• Support IT applications with focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems such as Pas-X.
• Manage ITIL processes: service requests, change, incident, problem, disaster recovery, lifecycle.
• Coordinate external suppliers and contractors to ensure project success.
• Define technical design and contribute to standardization and process optimization.
• Document project activities, qualification documents, work instructions, change requests, vulnerability management.
• Own compliance aspects of GxP relevant systems as Qualification Owner.

Your Role

• Within this role you deliver IT projects and services for business applications in the Manufacturing, Quality and Operations Technology domain.
• You support IT applications with a special focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems, such as Pas-X
• You are in charge of a number of ITIL defined processes such as service requests, change management, disaster recovery, life cycle, incident and problem management.
• You manage external suppliers and contractors to secure project support and business continuity according to service level agreements.
• Together with other Solution Architects you will define the technical design of the IT solutions and you contribute to process standardization and optimization
• As part of your daily work, you ensure proper documentation of all activities performed in projects and during service management (e.g. qualification documents, work instructions, change requests, vulnerability management, etc.).
• In your role as Qualification Owner, you will be accountable for all compliance aspects of dedicated of GxP relevant systems

Who You Are

• You hold a Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or a natural science degree combined with strong IT knowledge
• Experienced delivery manager with a minimum of 5 years relevant practice and exposure to an industrial IT environment with clear responsibilities, ideally for manufacturing, supply chain or quality systems
• You have comprehensive technical knowledge and hands‑on experience of Koerber PAS‑x system, ideally you have experience with Kubernetes and Docker technology. You have a solid understanding OT system architecture landscape and its components.
• You have solid expertise in scripting and querying and how to use it in automation and reporting
• You are a self‑motivated, highly engaged and autonomous individual with a strong ownership and service attitude.
• You are a continuous learner, always eager to understand the technical background of system behaviour and to stay up‑to‑date with latest technology
• You are a Team player who is used to work remotely in an international organization. Thoroughly familiar with current IT/OT industry trends for manufacturing and underlying technology. You possess broad IT infrastructure knowledge (i.e. OS, DB, system hardening, etc.) , solid presentation and communication skills and a solid foundation in IT service management methodology (preferably ITIL certification).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. Business fluent Spanish, French, German or Chinese is a plus.
