Job summary

Gallagher in India is seeking a General Accounting professional to support routine financial operations, including recording journal entries, revenues and costs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires a High School diploma and about six years of experience, with limited supervision on non-routine tasks; you will train and review work of junior staff where applicable.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

• Professionals in this group are required to perform basic straight forward task with defined parameters. They perform regular standard tasks of General Accounting function such as recording recurring Journal entries, booking revenues and costs.
• There is limited amount of decision making in the entire process, and limited complexity to manage. Incumbents at this level are specialist Para-Professional with broad/ advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education.
• They have broad experience but may not have a professional qualification.
• They work under limited supervision for non-routine situations and are responsible for leading daily operations.
• They deal with problems that are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex. They train, delegate and review work of lower level employees.

• Typically requires a High School education or equivalent and minimum of 6 years of experience.
