Job summary

Grand View Research in Pune seeks an analyst to conduct fundamental company analysis, perform industry research, and build detailed financial models from scratch.

You will prepare deal documents and client materials, communicate with international clients, and mentor junior analysts. Requires experience in investment banking or PE/VC support and proficiency with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and PitchBook.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking or supporting PE/VC clients.
• Must have built detailed financial & valuation models.
• Proficient with market databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental company analysis, including business models, competitive positioning, growth drivers, and risks.
• Perform industry and thematic research, including market sizing, value chain analysis, and peer benchmarking.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models (3-statement models, scenario/sensitivity analysis) and valuation models (DCF, comps).
• Prepare deal documents, pitchbooks, IMs, Teasers, company profiles, IC memos, buyer/seller lists.
• Work independently and communicate with international clients including MDs/Directors/Partners.
• Mentor and train junior analysts and review their work for quality and accuracy.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION/ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct fundamental company analysis, including business models, competitive positioning, growth drivers, and risks
• Perform industry and thematic research, including market sizing, value chain analysis, and peer benchmarking
• Build and maintain detailed financial models (3-statement models, scenario/sensitivity analysis), valuation models (DCF, trading/ transaction comps, relative valuation) from scratch
• Prepare deal documents, pitchbooks, Information Memorandum (IMs), Teasers, company profiles, IC memos, buyer/seller lists
• Work independently and communicate directly with international clients including Managing Directors/ Directors/ Partners
• Mentor and train junior analysts and review their work for quality and accuracy

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in investment banking or supporting PE/VC clients
• Expertise in sectors such as Technology, Healthcare Industrial, Consumer, Financials or Energy
• Strong Communication Skills (Both, Verbal and Written)
• Must have worked on building detailed financial & valuation models, writing pitchbooks, IMs/Teasers, industry research
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in using market databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, etc.
