Job summary

Job description

Purpose of the role

To support PBWM with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.

Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations.

Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.

Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.

Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.

Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.

Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services.

Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.

Senior Analyst Role

Step into the role of Senior Analyst at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future.

In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators.

You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.

You will focus on supporting and managing end-to-end payment processing, particularly cross border transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

It involves handling exceptions, reconciliations and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain seamless payment operations within Barclays.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:

  • Process and monitor SWIFT cross-border payments, including MT and ISO 20022 message formats.
  • Handle investigations and exceptions such as recalls, rejections, returns, and payment discrepancies.
  • Perform Nostro/ Vostro account reconciliations and resolve breaks within defined SLAs .
  • Ensure adherence to payment cut-offs, value dates, FX implications, and charge types.

Desirable skills set:

  • Strong knowledge of SWIFT messaging (MT103, MT202, MT202 COV) and ISO 20022 formats.
  • Working Knowledge of AI powered productivity tools such as Microsoft copilot to support operational efficiency, documentation, data analysis, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge reconciltn processes and accounting principles, with experience in investigating and resolving payment and account reconciliation breaks.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience in exception handling.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
