Job summary

SmartStream is seeking a Fees & Expense Management Analyst in Mumbai to analyze and reconcile fees for Settlement, Custody, Clearing, and Exchange services. You will onboard new clients, perform data analysis, and collaborate with CCPs, agent banks and custodians to ensure accurate invoicing and SLA compliance.

The role requires 3–6 years in financial services, strong Excel/SQL/Tableau skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Post Graduate in Banking or Financial Services.
• 3-6 years of experience in financial services or capital markets.
• Experience in reconciliation related to Brokerage, Clearing and Exchange domain is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding of new client and data analysis.
• Perform static activities pertaining to vendor setup and fee schedules.
• Calculate and reconcile fees related to Settlement, Custody, Clearing products.
• Utilize the Smartstream Fees & Expense Management solution to match client data, identifying and resolving exceptions through a structured dispute management process.
• Investigate client and vendor inquiries across invoices, settlement and custody calculations, fees, volumes, and global exchanges.
• Collaborate with external vendors and clients to resolve disputes and address discrepancies.
• Ensure SLAs are adhered to and escalate any critical issues in a timely manner.
• Engage in client and stakeholder management.
• Analyze existing systems and procedures, providing recommendations for enhancements.
• Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and optimize systems and processes.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Engage in Functional User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
