Overview
Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer focusing on high-performance analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. The successful candidate will perform transistor-level design from initial specification, through design and layout supervision, silicon evaluation and characterization, to final product introduction to the market.
Company: US-based start-up founded by industry veterans with PhDs from MIT and Stanford.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-performance analog/mixed-signal IC development on advanced CMOS processes.
- Design high-speed, high-resolution ADC/DAC building blocks (bandgap reference, op-amps, comparators, oscillators, DLL, PLL, etc.).
- Take designs to production, including silicon evaluation on bench and characterization.
- Work with layout engineers to supervise layout and evaluate layout parasitics and impairments in advanced CMOS processes.
- Apply transistor-level circuit design knowledge, including noise and mismatch analysis; perform behavioral modeling and/or synthesis of digital control blocks.
- Utilize Cadence tools (schematic capture, Virtuoso, Spectre) and/or HSPICE; familiarity with MATLAB is a plus.
- Ensure compliance with electromigration and ESD requirements in submicron CMOS processes.
- Collaborate with teams across geographic locations; communicate effectively and manage schedules independently.
Qualifications
