Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced AI/ML professional to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered enterprise applications. You will build frontend and backend services, integrate APIs, and craft scalable data solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

The role emphasizes responsible AI, security, compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value health tech solutions on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science engineering; 8+ years of AI/ML experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support end-to-end AI-powered enterprise applications and digital solutions
• Build modern frontend applications using React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and responsive UI frameworks
• Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, .NET, C#, Node.js, Python, and microservices architectures
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and enterprise integrations across internal and external platforms
• Build and optimize database solutions using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Vector Databases, and enterprise data platforms
• Develop and deploy AI/GenAI solutions leveraging OpenAI, Azure AI, Gemini, Claude, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, and LangGraph frameworks
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems
• Design and build Agentic AI workflows, autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks, and AI-powered automation solutions
• Develop cloud-native applications utilizing Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services, serverless computing, storage, messaging, and AI services
• Implement DevOps practices including GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and automated testing
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Data Scientists, Security, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver high-value AI solutions
• Ensure Responsible AI, security, governance, privacy, compliance, observability, and operational excellence throughout the AI lifecycle
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Primary Responsibilities:
