Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced AI/ML professional to design, develop, and deploy scalable end-to-end AI solutions. The role focuses on data prep, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and production deployment within an enterprise setting.

You will build pipelines, ensure governance, and lead MLOps practices across product and engineering teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into AI-driven outcomes, monitor production

Qualifications

  • Experience with NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI use cases
  • Experience building enterprise-grade AI systems with strong reliability and governance requirements
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or owning small modules/projects
  • Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark or Ray
  • Knowledge of Responsible AI practices including fairness, explainability, and bias mitigation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable end-to-end AI/ML solutions for complex business problems
  • Own the full model lifecycle including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and production deployment
  • Build and optimize ML pipelines and workflows for scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Develop advanced AI solutions using NLP, deep learning, predictive modeling, and Generative AI
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions
  • Integrate AI/ML models into enterprise applications and production systems
  • Implement and manage MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, retraining, and version control
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve model performance in production environments
  • Contribute to reusable frameworks, libraries, and engineering best practices
  • Communicate technical designs, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders
  • Stay updated with emerging AI/ML technologies and apply them to drive innovation
  • Comply with all applicable Company policies and directions related to work location and schedules

Primary Responsibilities:
