Job summary

Optum India is seeking a Senior AI/ML and Full Stack Engineer to bridge data science with production systems. You will design AI-powered SaaS solutions, architect scalable microservices, and deploy them on cloud platforms, integrating frontend (React/Next.js) with backend (Python/FastAPI or Node.js).

You will lead AI-assisted development, mentor engineers, and ensure security and compliance while translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products and decision-making

A Senior AI/ML and Full Stack Engineer in India acts as the bridge between raw data science and end-user production. Responsibilities include architecting AI-powered SaaS solutions, designing AI pipelines and agentic workflows, managing cloud deployments, utilizing AI for rapid development, and enforcing responsible AI governance.

Primary Responsibilities

• AI Integration & Application Development
  • Build AI-Driven Web Applications: Develop robust frontend/backend applications that seamlessly embed large language models (LLMs) and generative AI
  • Agentic Workflows: Design autonomous and human-in-the-loop agents using orchestration frameworks
• Full-Stack Architecture
  • End-to-End System Design: Architect scalable microservices and APIs, integrating frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) with backend engines (Python/FastAPI or Node.js).Enterprise Integrations: Connect AI interfaces with large-scale relational/NoSQL databases and core business systems
• Technical Leadership & Productivity
  • AI-Assisted Development: Lead the adoption of AI-native tooling across the development lifecycle, utilizing code-generation copilots to rapidly build features while maintaining strict quality assurance
  • Mentorship: Provide architectural judgment, mentor junior developers, and review code to ensure security and compliance
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows, and decision-making
