Project context

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer (GenAI developer) with a passion for innovation and a strong desire to learn and experiment. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ideating, developing, and maintaining cutting‑edge GenAI applications focused towards solving API integration challenges. Your expertise in Python, combined with exposure to Java/C++, will be essential as you tackle API integration challenges and build cloud native microservice based agentic solutions.

Additionally, it s a plus if you have prior experince in ML engineering or MLOps

Goals and Deliverables

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productonize GenAI applications focused towards solving API integration challenges encompassing all phases of development.
• Ideation and data driven experimentation & evaluation
• Design, develop, and implement microservices (using Quarkus/FastAPI) and proven design patterns
• Contribute to the creation of a robust and scalable cloud‑native architecture
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (DevOps, QA) to ensure smooth delivery and operation
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code adhering to best practices
• Identify and implement opportunities for performance optimization and resource efficiency
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in GenAI, AgenticAI, RAG, etc.
• Mentor and motivate junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to design principles and technical standards
• Identify and troubleshoot potential issues, proactively solving problems and mitigating risks
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes and knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

• Good understanding of GPT APIs and libraries like LangChain, Swarm, CrewAI, etc.
• Good understanding of Vector Databases
• Hands‑on experience in prompt engineering patterns to develop GenAI apps.
• In‑depth knowledge of Python, one other language like Java/C++ and microservices architecture
• Strong understanding of design principles and patterns
• Experience in taking an LLM based application to production (not just POCs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively in a team
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
• Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in technology

Bonus Points

• Experience with RAG
• Experience with cloud‑native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, Azure AI Search)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Experience with designing and building evals for LLM based applications or agentic aplications [this is not LLM evals]
• Experience with performance optimization techniques and profiling tools
• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior developers
