Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services in Bengaluru seeks a software engineer to design and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) software for aerospace applications. You will translate requirements into robust architectures, develop with NI LabVIEW/TestStand/VeriStand, and work with hardware integration.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical papers and solution proposals.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ATE software architectures and platforms for aerospace applications.
• Develop, maintain, and debug test automation software using NI LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, and LabWindows/CVI.
• Understand ATE requirements and translate them into software design, architecture, and implementation.
• Perform integration testing with hardware, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), and associated test systems.
• Develop high-speed data acquisition and real-time control applications using NI DAQ and CompactRIO.
• Implement real-time and FPGA programming using NI LabVIEW.
• Design and implement closed-loop PID control systems for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
• Work with communication protocols including ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232, and RS-485.
• Interpret ATE wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and hardware interface documentation.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues and support production and engineering queries.
• Participate in customer technical discussions and provide timely technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, drive technical innovation, and contribute to technical white papers and solution proposals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical recommendations to leadership.
