Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in AEM Sites development, Java, Sling, OSGi, HTL (Sightly), Adobe Core Components, REST API integrations, and modern frontend technologies. The role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, UX teams, architects, DevOps teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Adobe Experience Manager Development Design, develop, and maintain reusable AEM components, templates, dialogs, and workflows.
- Develop scalable solutions using Sling Models, HTL (Sightly), OSGi services, and Java.
- Configure Editable Templates, Content Policies, Client Libraries (ClientLibs), Content Fragments, and Experience Fragments.
- Customize and extend Adobe Core Components following AEM best practices.
- Develop and support content authoring and publishing capabilities.
- Troubleshoot authoring, publishing, dispatcher, and replication issues.
- Perform AEM performance tuning and application optimization.
- Support upgrades, patches, and migration to AEM as a Cloud Service where applicable.
Backend Development
- Develop Java-based services, servlets, schedulers, and workflows.
- Build reusable business services using OSGi.
- Develop secure REST API integrations with enterprise systems.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Design scalable content models and repository structures.
Frontend Development
- Develop responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and React.js.
- Integrate frontend applications with AEM Sites and Headless CMS capabilities.
- Build reusable UI components following accessibility and responsive design standards.
- Optimize website performance and Core Web Vitals.
Integration Development
- Integrate AEM with Adobe Marketing Cloud products and third-party enterprise applications.
- Develop integrations with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and external APIs.
- Support secure form processing, validation, and workflow automation.
Performance & Security
- Optimize Dispatcher caching and content delivery.
- Improve website performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement security best practices including XSS protection, CSRF prevention, authentication, and authorization.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG 2.x) and SEO standards.
DevOps & Release Management
- Manage source code using Git.
- Build and deploy applications using Maven and Cloud Manager pipelines.
- Participate in CI/CD implementation and release planning.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide Level 3 application support.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, UX Designers, QA teams, and Content Authors.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in architecture discussions and solution design.
- Contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.

- Experience integrating Salesforce, SAP, Marketing Automation, or other enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of Dispatcher caching and CDN optimization.
- Familiarity with SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, and AEM Mocks.
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate with internal business and technical stakeholders, and external agency partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, applying an ownership mindset with attention to quality and detail.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Adobe AEM certifications are highly preferred.
