Microland Limited is seeking a storage administrator to manage IBM Spectrum Virtualize, FlashSystem and DS series storage environments. You will provision, monitor, and optimize storage volumes, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires the ability to triage advanced storage issues, escalate when needed, and maintain detailed ticket records. Strong knowledge of storage concepts and experience with LUN mapping will be essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in storage administration and ticketing.
• Knowledge of storage provisioning, replication, and performance tuning.
• Experience triaging and escalating to SME for complex issues.

Responsabilités

• Gather information from vendor and customer and update tickets per process.
• Prepare a detailed shift handover report for next shift engineer.
• Track tickets for SLA adherence and escalate deviations.
• Provision storage volumes and monitor health under guidance.

Technology | Implement Storage Solutions, Backup and DR Strategies in Cloud -201, OS 101 with Windows, Storage 101/NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), Information Storage and Management V3, Storage Concepts Credential, HPE ATP - Storage

Skills required are

• Proactive monitoring: Initiate Storage administration, troubleshooting, investigate to identify the possible issues, locate the device/service causing the issue. Record the findings and analysis in to the ticket
• Resolution: Identify the issue based on troubleshooting and decide on the actions required to be implemented for resolving the issue. Refer to required KEDB or KB for known issues/repetitive issues and resolution steps. Implement the resolution steps, execute, validate and update ticket with steps taken and outcome
• Triage: Once the resolution steps are completed if the issue is still not resolved or if it s an unknown issue and standard troubleshooting methods did not resolve the issue, elevate the ticket to L3 SME and support the troubleshooting process, if there is a bridge, continue on the bridge along with the SME. This support includes coordination with 3rd party vendor technicians.

Process

• Gather information from vendor, customer, analysis from the troubleshooting, resolution steps implemented etc. and update the tickets regularly, as per the defined process.
• Prepare a detailed shift handover report for the next shift engineer
• Constantly track tickets for SLA adherence andescalate on deviations as defined in the process.

IBM Storage

• Strong understanding of IBM Spectrum Virtualize, FlashSystem, and DS series.
• Capable of provisioning, managing, and monitoring storage volumes.
• Knowledge of replication, snapshots, and performance tuning features.

Hitachi

• Basic awareness of Hitachi VSP and HCP platforms.
• Understands fundamental storage operations like LUN creation and mapping.
• Familiar with general replication and snapshot features.

HP Storage

• Basic awareness of HP storage systems and storage concepts (volumes, RAID, snapshots).
• Perform routine monitoring of storage health, alerts, and event logs.
• Execute basic provisioning tasks under guidance (LUN creation, mapping).
