About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive – Accounts Receivable to manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function.
The role will be responsible for customer invoicing, payment tracking, collections, outstanding receivables, payment reconciliation, and AR reporting. You will work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Business Operations, and Finance teams to ensure timely collections, accurate financial records, and a healthy cash flow.
The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience in accounts receivable, excellent reconciliation skills, and the ability to manage customer-facing financial queries in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key responsibilities
Invoicing
- Raise accurate, GST-compliant invoices for all post-paid clients and partners on the agreed billing cycle.
- Compute usage-based and recurring charges from platform data and contract terms; resolve billing discrepancies before invoices go out.
- Issue credit notes, debit notes and revised invoices with proper approvals.
- Maintain the customer and partner billing master: contract terms, credit limits, payment terms, GSTIN and billing contacts.
Collections
- Own collections for the entire post-paid book, from first reminder to final settlement.
- Run a structured follow-up cadence by email, phone and WhatsApp, escalating overdue accounts on a defined ageing schedule.
- Negotiate payment plans for delayed accounts and coordinate service holds or suspensions with Customer Success when needed.
- Work with Sales and Customer Success to resolve disputes that block payment.
Partner network
- Manage invoicing and collections for resellers, white-label and referral partners.
- Reconcile partner billing, commissions and payouts against partner agreements.
Reconciliation and compliance
- Match receipts to invoices daily across bank, payment gateway and UPI channels; clear unapplied cash.
- Reconcile TDS deductions with Form 26AS and follow up for TDS certificates.
- Support GST reconciliation, month-end close, and statutory and internal audits for receivables.
Reporting
- Publish weekly AR ageing, collections forecast and overdue reports to the Finance lead and leadership.
- Track and improve DSO, collection efficiency and bad-debt exposure; recommend provisions and write-offs.
- Spot recurring billing or collection issues and propose process and tooling fixes.
Must-have requirements
- 5+ years in accounts receivable, with at least 3 years owning collections for post-paid or credit-based B2B customers.
- Proven track record of reducing overdues and DSO on a book with hundreds of active accounts.
- Strong working knowledge of GST invoicing, credit/debit notes, TDS and Form 26AS reconciliation.
- Hands-on with an accounting system such as Zoho Books, Tally or SAP, and strong in Excel or Google Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, ageing reports).
- Clear, firm and polite communicator in English and Hindi, comfortable negotiating with finance teams and business owners.
- High ownership and attention to detail; able to work independently as an individual contributor.
- Graduate in Commerce or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance or equivalent).
Good to have
- Experience in a SaaS, telecom, cloud or payments company with usage-based or post-paid billing.
- Experience managing billing and settlements for a reseller or partner channel.
- Exposure to billing or collections tools (Chargebee, Zoho Billing, Razorpay, CRM-linked dunning).
