Job summary

Terra Global Partners Pvt Ltd seeks a detail-oriented UK accounting professional to support client onboarding, bookkeeping, and statutory reporting. You will ensure VAT/CIS compliance and assist with HMRC communications, maintaining precise ledgers and timely submissions.

Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent is preferred, and strong English communication plus the ability to manage workloads independently are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years UK accounting experience in professional services.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax, VAT and CIS.
• Experience with multiple VAT schemes and CIS returns.
• Excellent English communication.
• IT-literate with popular accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Onboard clients records and handle digital conversions.
• Prepare bookkeeping, accounting and tax compliance reports.
• Assist with HMRC communications and investigations.
• Maintain accurate financial records including GL, AP/AR, reconciliations.
• Support senior team with bookkeeping tasks.

• Clientrecord onboarding and digital conversion
• Preparationof bookkeeping, accounting and tax compliance reports for internal review.Inclusive of, but not limited to, Management accounts, VAT returns, Soletraderaccounts, Statutory accounts, Self assessment and Corporate tax returns.
• Assistingwith and contributing towards communications with client and HMRC, inclusive ofinvestigations and enquiries
• Assistingand supporting the senior team in delivering outstanding client service
• Maintainaccurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bankreconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Providingbookkeeping support to team members
• Supportseniors with adhoc tasks and client work

Requirements

• Atleast two years' experience of working in an UK accounting role, preferably ina professional services environment
• Strongunderstanding of UK Accounting, Tax, VAT and CIS regulations and reportingrequirements – both personal and corporate
• Atleast two years’ experience with multiple VAT schemes alongside experience withmonthly and annual CIS returns, inclusive of claims
• Methodicaland highly organised working skill base
• Keenattention to detail

• Abilityto deal effectively with issues in person and by telephone
• Desireto be flexible and proactive in suggesting ideas for streamlining the processes
