Job summary

EcoRatings is seeking a Senior Accountant (Inter CA) to lead financial operations, ensuring compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and audits while partnering with leadership for planning.

The role requires IPCC cleared intermediate CA and 4–7 years of accounting experience, with strong proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks, and MS Excel. Startup environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Intermediate CA (IPCC cleared) mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field
• 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
• Startup/fast-paced environment experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and regulatory filings
• Handle internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records
• Support financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making
• Manage payroll accounting and ensure timely salary processing
• Liaise with banks, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Assist in improving financial processes and implementing controls
