Job summary

symplr is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team in Bangalore. This role requires strong financial accounting background and collaboration across departments and external resources.

You will own end-to-end bookkeeping, manage fixed assets, drive month-end close, and support audits. The ideal candidate has CA/CMA/CA Inter and 6+ years in corporate GL accounting, with proficiency in Tally and Excel.

Qualifications

• CA/CMA/CA Inter qualification or equivalent.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in corporate GL accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end bookkeeping – GL, AP, processing, bank reconciliations.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register including depreciation and reconciliations.
• Drive month end close with journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Review employee expense claims per policy.
• Support audits with schedules and explanations.
• Prepare monthly MIS and variance analysis.
• Forecast cash flow and handle intercompany billing.
• GST reconciliations and related compliance.
• TDS provisions, payments, and Form 16A issuance.
• Identify process automation and improvements.

Overview of the role:

Were seeking Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team at symplr. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong financial accounting background. This is a highly visible role within the organization that will require collaboration across multiple departments and external resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end bookkeeping – including GL, AP, EE processing, bank reconciliations and ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all entries.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including capitalization, depreciation and reconciliation
• Drive the month close process – prepare/review journals, accruals, prepaid and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review & process employee expense claims in line with Company policy
• Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, documentation, and required explanations.
• Prepare monthly MIS Report & variance analysis
• Responsible for Cash forecast and Intercompany Billing
• Perform other accounting and finance-related responsibilities as assigned
• Perform GST reconciliations and GST related compliance
• Proficient with TDS provisions, TDS Payments, filing of quarterly & annual returns, issue form16a to vendors
• Proactively identify opportunities for process automation and improvement to ensure processes are scalable and optimized

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA/CMA/CA Inter
• 6+ years of progressive experience in corporate GL accounting

Technical Skills:

• Experience in Tally
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel and financial reporting tools
