Job summary

ASA Corporate Catalyst in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, invites applications for a Senior Accountant in Accounting & Business Support. The role reports to AM/DM and supports Baker Tilly mission to deliver accurate financial information and strategic insights.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience, CA Inter / CMA Inter / CMA Final level, B.Com with articleship, strong GST and TDS knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and Tally. You will manage journal entries, MIS, and tax filings.

Qualifications

• CA Inter (One group passed) or CMA Inter/Final with relevant accounting knowledge.
• B.Com with articleship experience and exposure to statutory filings.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of books of accounts and financial records.
• Preparation and posting of journal entries, invoices, debit/credit notes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS.
• Bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
• GST and TDS returns, and other tax filings.
• Maintain audit and compliance documentation.

Position Overview
The Senior will play a key role in supporting Baker Tilly mission to deliver exceptional client service and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance of books of accounts and financial records.
• Preparation and posting of journal entries, invoices, debit notes and credit notes.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and MIS.
• Preparation of Bank reconciliations and Ledger reconciliations.
• Preparation and filing of GST and TDS returns, and other tax filings
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

• CA Inter (One group Passed)/CMA Inter/ CMA Final (One group Passed)
• B. Com with Article ship

Skills and Competencies

• Strong Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good understanding in GST, TDS and statutory Compliance.
