The Role

You’ll own FlytBase’s end‑to‑end accounting across India and the US, ensuring our books are accurate, reconciled, and audit‑ready while we scale drone autonomy software globally. This is a hands‑on execution role—you won’t be preparing investor decks or financial models, but you’ll be the backbone ensuring every transaction is properly recorded, every compliance requirement is met, and our financial operations run seamlessly across borders.

You’ll work directly with international transactions from our 300+ drone deployments, handle cross‑border coordination with our California headquarters, and manage the full spectrum of Indian compliance requirements. This role sits at the intersection of traditional accounting rigor and modern SaaS operations—perfect for someone who wants to own real impact without getting lost in corporate bureaucracy.

What You’ll Own

• Day‑to‑day accounting entries for revenue, expenses, accruals, and prepaids across global operations; general ledger maintenance, schedules, and supporting workings for all transactions.
• Month‑end reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and forex transactions; GST workings, TDS reconciliations, and Softex documentation for Indian compliance.
• Coordination with US teams for payroll inputs, sales tax data, and intercompany entries.
• Invoicing operations and collections tracking for our global customer base; weekly payment file preparation and vendor reconciliation processes.
• Banking operations including IRM/FIRC follow‑ups and remittance tracking.
• Audit documentation and support for statutory, internal, and transfer pricing requirements; proactive identification and resolution of discrepancies and operational banking issues.

Best Suited For

• CA Intern / Semi‑qualified CA / B.Com with 3–6 years of hands‑on accounting experience. (CAs are overqualified for this role.)
• Strong reconciliation skills and experience managing month‑end close processes.
• Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian compliance requirements.
• Experience with international transactions, forex accounting, and cross‑border operations.
• Familiarity with SaaS or tech company accounting models and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or NetSuite.
• Experience working with cross‑border teams and coordinating across time zones.
• Basic understanding of US accounting principles and payroll entry requirements.

Who You’ll Work With
