Rocker Finance Pvt Ltd in Chennai is seeking a Senior Accountant with 5-6 years of experience. The role involves managing books, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accuracy across ledgers with a focus on statutory filing and client communications.

The position is full-time and work-from-office. Bachelor’s/Master’s in Commerce or Accounts is required; CA or Cost Accountant is preferable. Salary is around 5 LPA with direct exposure to GST/Direct tax matters.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Knowledge in Direct and Indirect Taxation.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Excellent knowledge in Google Drive or MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options.
• Summarise current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, P&L, and other reports.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Filing of Statutory Returns.
• Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Communicate effectively with clients and contribute to strong client relationships.
