Role Description

The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ajmer. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable. The Senior Accountant will manage budgeting and forecasting activities, ensure accurate project cost accounting, and support compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements. The role also includes reconciling bank accounts, coordinating with internal project teams and external stakeholders, and providing financial analysis to support management decisions. The Senior Accountant will help improve financial processes and controls to support the company’s ongoing government and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and project-based accounting in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including use of spreadsheets, financial models, and reconciliation tools.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger management.
• Understanding of taxation, statutory compliances, and financial regulations relevant to construction and government contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA equivalent) are an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, site teams, auditors, and external agencies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
