Job Summary

Burson India is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Senior Account Executive to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about media relations, communications, and brand storytelling. As a Senior Account Executive, you will support the planning and execution of PR campaigns, manage media outreach, develop engaging content, and assist with day-to-day account management activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in public relations and strategic communications.

What you'll do

• Stay updated on all your clients, their industries, and competitors by actively reading articles, press materials, marketing collateral and strategy documents.
• Help organize and participate in client brainstorm meetings and calls and never hesitate to ask informed questions and make creative recommendations; understand what is being done and how it adds value to your clients.
• Able to draft high quality and actionable client facing communications with minimal assistance, including status reports, campaign summary reports, general account activity reports etc.
• Know the Burson s research and measurement methodologies and implement research and measurement tools to support the account team in IC programs.
• Understand the media landscape and be able to help develop and customise media lists for your clients.
• Build media relationships and be able to leverage relevant knowledge to benefit your clients.
• Assist in press materials development and support the preparation of press events.
• Stay updated on social media trends and build relationships with key influencers and community contacts to optimise channels.
• Embeds Burson proprietary AI tools as a core part of the marketing workflow - applying them to competitor research, content development, campaign performance analysis, and audience strategy to make marketing decisions faster and more informed.
• You must possess a strong familiarity with how Generative AI tools are used across communications programmes, especially in planning, research, ideation, content creation, and daily operations to drive relevance and efficiency. For example utilize AI powered platforms for the following:
  Research - Decipher, WPP Open (Industry + Competitor), BAV
  Reports & Tracker - This will be sectoral & client specific, AI Agents
  NYCUs - WPP Open, AI Agents.
  Media + Influencers + KOLs + Advocates - WPP Open, Decipher, Creator IQ, Brandwatch

Experience that contributes to success

• 3+ years of experience in public relations or communications, preferably with clients in the Consumer lifestyle, F&B, Retail & Hospitality sectors.
• Bachelor s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
• You must possess a strong familiarity with how Generative AI tools are used across communications programmes, especially in planning, research, ideation, content creation, and daily operations to drive relevance and efficiency
