Job summary

Evonik Catalysts India Pvt. Ltd. in Dombivli seeks a Security Supervisor to monitor day-to-day security operations, safeguard assets and ensure access control.

You will conduct frisking, coordinate with guards, manage visitor, vendor movements and support emergency response with the Safety team. The ideal candidate has SSC with 5+ years in plant security, preferably from military or paramilitary backgrounds, and is proficient in Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum SSC with at least 5 years of experience in handling security functions at plant level.
• Preferred past work experience in military related paramilitary forces.
• Must be computer proficient (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for physical frisking of workers for carrying restricted/banned items by workers inside company premises.
• Ensure that there is no movement of company property out of the company premises without proper permission.
• Communicate with employees for visitors, vendors and responsible for announcements during emergency situations.
• Take patrolling rounds and report to Associate Manager Security immediately if any abnormal activity is seen.
• Maintain and document daily reports on water supply, raw material inward, and attendance of all labor contractors.

Purpose of the Position

To monitor day to day security administration activities and safeguard company property and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for physical frisking of workers for carrying restricted/banned items by workers inside company premises.
• Also ensure that there is no movement of company property out of the company premises without proper permission.
• Communicate with employees for visitors, vendors and responsible for announcement during emergency situation.
• Take patrolling rounds and report to Associate Manager Security immediately if any abnormal activity is seen.
• To keep record of incoming & consumption report of water level required for production.
• Periodical, regular, daily reporting to Associate Manager Security.
• Coordinate with Safety team in case of emergency.
• To coordinate with gate in free flow of movement of men, material etc. inward & outward.
• Co-ordinate for smooth movement of Factory cars & incoming or outgoing Vehicles.
• Ensure compliance to ESH rules and regulations.
• Ensure incidents are reported timely and follow up on actions.
• Participate in various ESH activities such as training, hazard identification, plant round etc.
• Water Availability in the Tanks and order the water tanks if needed
• To attend to activities related to weighbridge as instructed.
• To adhere to the security duties at PMC department as per ECI guidelines.
• Responsible for monitoring the area and ensuring it remains free of reptiles and stray dogs by safely deterring them as needed.
• To maintain vigilance and be prepared to effectively respond to threats and (potential terrorist-like situations) within the company premises & vicinity.
• Maintain and document daily reports on water supply, raw material inward, and attendance of all labor contractors.
• Ensure compliance checks for all visitors, contractors, and service providers before granting entry, strictly adhering to established protocols. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all entries and compliance verifications.
• Co-ordinate with the security agency to manage attendance, manpower, shift schedules/rosters, and other daily operational activities.
• Co-ordinate with the admin team for visitor management, event related activity, sports.
• Support the Associate Manager - Security with administrative outdoor requests.
• Manage ECC activities in absence of Associate Manager - Security.
• Serve as a discreet observer, acting as the eyes & ears of the organization by monitoring activities. Report any information or incidents that may harm or benefit the company while maintaining anonymity.

Education, Certification And/or Relevant Experience Required

• Minimum SSC with at least 05 years of experience in handling security functions at plant level.
• Preferred past work experience in military related paramilitary forces.

Additional Skills And Abilities Required For This Position

• Must be computer proficient (Word & Excel)

Technical Knowledge (E.g. specialized knowledge required to perform all the required tasks)

• Using of Walkie Talki or wireless communication.
• Handling of metal detector during frisking.
• Megaphone announcement.
