Responsibilities

• Physical security & surveillance of plant premises, materials, and warehouses.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and perimeter security systems.
• Patrol and inspect production, storage, utilities, and dispatch areas.
• Identify risks and respond to fire, theft, incidents, and unauthorized access.
• Supervise guards, rosters, and deployment at key locations.
• Coordinate with security agencies and conduct training and awareness programs.
• Ensure compliance with plant security policies and ISO/OHSAS standards.
• Support audits related to security and safety.
• Monitor inbound/outbound movement and validate gate passes and documents.
• Implement ITMS to prevent pilferage where applicable.
• Maintain liaison with local police and emergency services; submit daily and monthly security reports.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Physical Security & Surveillance

• Safeguard plant premises, raw materials, finished goods, and warehouses.
• Monitor CCTV systems, access control, and perimeter security.
• Conduct regular patrolling and inspections across production, storage, utilities, and dispatch areas.

2. Incident Prevention & Emergency Response

• Identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to fire incidents, theft, accidents, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain incident registers, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective actions.

3. Manpower & Vendor Coordination

• Supervise security guards, shift rosters, and deployment at key locations.
• Conduct training and security awareness programs for guards and staff.
• Coordinate with third-party security agencies and ensure adherence to SOPs.

4. Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with plant security policies, statutory requirements, and ISO / OHSAS standards.
• Support internal and external audits related to security and safety.

5. Logistics & Material Movement Control

• Monitor inbound and outbound movement of materials, finished goods, and contractor vehicles.
• Verify gate passes, challans, and material issue/return documents.
• Implement and monitor Integrated Truck Management System (ITMS) to prevent pilferage (where applicable).

6. Liaison & Reporting

• Maintain strong liaison with local police, fire department, and emergency services.
• Prepare and submit Daily Security Reports (DSR) and Monthly Review Reports to management.Role & responsibilities
