Job summary

The role requires 10+2 or equivalent, with preferred experience in hotel security. You will work rotating shifts, including weekends, to maintain safety and policy compliance across the hotel environment.

Qualifications

Job description

At Holiday Inn Gurugram Sector 90, an IHG Hotel, the safety and security of our guests, colleagues, and property are our top priorities. We are seeking a vigilant, responsible, and service-oriented Security Officer who will help maintain a safe and secure environment while delivering warm, professional, and welcoming hospitality.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring hotel premises, implementing security procedures, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with hotel safety standards and operational policies.

What You'll Do

• Monitor hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house areas, entrances, exits, and other designated locations, to ensure the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and property.
• Conduct regular security patrols and maintain vigilance throughout the assigned shift.
• Monitor CCTV systems, access control points, and surveillance equipment to identify and report suspicious activities.
• Verify the movement of colleagues, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with hotel security procedures.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and guest or colleague concerns.
• Assist in implementing emergency response procedures, fire safety protocols, evacuation drills, and other life-safety measures.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, visitor entries, security checks, and shift handovers.
• Support the enforcement of hotel policies and ensure compliance with established security procedures.
• Handle guest information and security-sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
• Assist in investigations, prepare incident reports, and escalate concerns to the Security Supervisor or Security Manager as required.
• Deliver courteous and professional service while maintaining a strong security presence throughout the hotel.

What We\'re Looking For

• A minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent; additional security or safety-related training will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in hotel security, hospitality, or a similar security role is preferred.
• Knowledge of security procedures, access control, CCTV monitoring, emergency response, and basic fire safety practices.
• Good observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm, alert, and professional while handling challenging situations.
• A strong sense of responsibility, integrity, discipline, and confidentiality.
• Physical fitness and the flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
