Job summary

Ericsson Mobile Financial Services in Gurgaon is seeking a Security Engineer to protect mission-critical financial services by monitoring incidents, performing threat hunting, and enforcing cloud security across environments.

You will work with global teams to maintain service availability, handle patching and incident response, and ensure compliance with security standards, while continuously improving detection and prevention capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT security experience in a SOC/NOC or service operations environment.
• Hands-on Linux and Kubernetes experience; Docker knowledge.
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, cryptography, and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
• Knowledge of cloud security operations, preferably AWS, including IAM.
• Understanding of SSL/TLS, PKI, certificate management, TCP/IP, and network security.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, CIS, NIST, and ISO security standards.
• Scripting in Shell, Python, or Ansible is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to escalated security incidents.
• Monitor and correlate security events using SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
• Develop and fine-tune SIEM detection rules and investigate suspicious activities, malware, and security threats.
• Secure cloud environments through configuration reviews, hardening, IAM governance, vulnerability management, and CSPM remediation.
• Manage security controls for Linux and Kubernetes environments, including access management, certificates, cryptography, and HSM.
• Troubleshoot security and operational issues, validate fixes, and support patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Coordinate incident bridges, communicate progress to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with customer SLAs and KPIs.
• Participate in shift-based operations and collaborate with global teams to maintain service availability and security.
