Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Security Engineer (Coding Agent Experience) to work remotely on a contract basis. You will use frontier AI coding agents to tackle complex security tasks and review model-generated code for vulnerabilities.

The role requires 2+ years of professional security engineering experience and familiarity with application, cloud, and infrastructure security, as well as vulnerability management. Compensation is $85/hour with task-based payments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional security engineering experience.
• Experience with application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, or vulnerability management.
• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI.
• Ability to identify flaws in model-generated code and architectures.
• Experience securing production systems (preferred).
