Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Cybersecurity Expert for a remote contract role. You will review AI-generated outputs related to threat analysis, craft realistic scenarios, and label data for CVE classification, SIEM triage, and MITRE ATT&CK mappings.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of enterprise cybersecurity experience, strong analytic skills, and clear written communication. You will contribute to evaluating AI-driven security workflows and frameworks (NIST CSF, STIX/TAXII).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience in an enterprise, MSSP, consultancy or government/defense setting.
• Experience translating security operations into structured evaluation tasks.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and security architecture recommendations.
• Create realistic cybersecurity scenarios based on workflows such as incident response runbooks, threat hunting queries, and pen-testing reports.
• Annotate, label, and validate data across cybersecurity use cases like CVE classification accuracy and SIEM alert triage.
• Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy in frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK) and threat intel standards (STIX/TAXII).
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for cybersecurity AI.

• Clear written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Professional certifications like CISSP , CISM , CEH , OSCP , GIAC certifications , Security+ .
