Job summary

Eminence International is seeking a Security Engineer to secure cloud infrastructure, server environments, and application deployments. You will work on cloud security, server hardening, monitoring systems, and secure deployment of backend and frontend applications.

You will configure firewall rules on Linode, implement a Web Application Firewall, and assist in vulnerability analysis and incident response to protect the infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Security engineer role requiring basic understanding of ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks, and secure deployment practices.
• Configure firewall rules on Linode servers using UFW/Fail2Ban and monitor for anomalies.
• Implement and monitor Web Application Firewall (WAF) across applications.
• Assist in vulnerability analysis and incident response to protect cloud infrastructure.

We are looking for a Security Engineer to support and maintain secure cloud infrastructure, server environments, and application deployments. The role involves working on cloud security, server hardening, monitoring systems, and assisting in secure deployment of backend and frontend applications.

Security Responsibilities

Configure and manage firewall rules (UFW, Fail2Ban) on Linode servers

Implement and monitor Web Application Firewall (WAF)

• Perform server hardening and security patch management
• Monitor logs and detect suspicious activities
• Support vulnerability analysis and incident response
• Assist in cloud/server security and infrastructure protection on Linode and Cloudflare
• Maintain security best practices across all systems

Basic understanding of security standards (ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks, etc.)

Cloud & Infrastructure Responsibilities

Manage and support cloud infrastructure on Linode.

Configure and maintain Linux-based VPS servers on Linode.

Handle server deployment, scaling, and environment management on Linode.

Manage networking, domains, DNS configurations, and routing in cloud environments

Configure and manage Cloudflare services including DNS, CDN, and proxy settings

Implement and maintain Cloudflare security features (DDoS protection, rate limiting, bot protection)

Manage SSL/TLS certificates and HTTPS enforcement via Cloudflare

Configure and optimize Cloudflare WAF (Web Application Firewall) rules Support backend and frontend application deployment

Maintain secure and stable hosting environments

Manage backups, storage, and recovery systems on Linode.
