About the Role

As a Network Security Engineer, you will operate as part of an expanded global team with a focus on the 24/7 support of our DDoS, WAF, and Firewall services, protecting both customer environments and global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, configuration, and support of global DDoS mitigation platforms, firewall/VPN devices, and web protection services.
• Collaborate with the wider network team to implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures.
• Provide technical guidance to solve business challenges and enhance service availability.
• Manage planned maintenance and upgrade activities for security infrastructure.
• Act as an escalation point during service outages, DDoS attacks, and security events.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and internal wiki content.
• Work with software engineering teams to define tools for scaling security infrastructure and develop automation strategies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in network engineering or security operations.
• Excellent working knowledge of Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb).
• Hands‑on experience with DDoS mitigation, firewalls, and IDPS.
• Extensive knowledge of IP networking, routing, switching, and international service provider environments.
• Strong experience in packet decoding and traffic analysis.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Network Access architecture.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
• Industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIP, NSE5 or equivalent).
