Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) seeks a CHARM Security Compliance Expert to lead governance, optimisation and continuous evolution of security controls across IT, cloud and network environments. You will drive audit readiness, remediation tracking and assurance validation, while partnering with stakeholders to raise compliance maturity and enable risk-based decisions.

You will mentor teams, develop dashboards, and contribute to annual security strategy, leveraging ITIL and ISO27002

Qualifications

• > 9 years in Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) in large or multi-market environments.
• > Experience supporting internal and external audits, assurance reviews, and regulatory compliance.
• > Familiar with IT Service Management (ITIL) and integration with security controls.
• > Knowledge of infrastructure, data centres, OS, middleware, and cloud from a governance perspective.
• > Ability to translate security requirements into actionable compliance expectations.
• > Strong organizational, detail-oriented, multi-priority management and senior stakeholder communication skills.
• > CISM or equivalent GRC certification; ISO27002 implementation and control assurance familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Drive lifecycle compliance of security controls across IT, cloud and network domains.
• Perform control assessments, operational effectiveness reviews and evidence validation for audit readiness.
• Contribute as SME in audits, including evidence preparation and remediation tracking.
• Provide governance oversight for systems under development or change.
• Lead, maintain, analyze and present compliance dashboards, metrics and trends.
• Participate in cyber risk assessments and remediation tracking.
• Engage stakeholders to address control gaps and prioritise remediation.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardisation and automation.

About This Role

We are seeking a CHARM Security Compliance Expert to act as a senior authority for the governance, optimisation, and continuous evolution of security controls across the Cyber function. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to Vodafone Security Baseline requirements across IT, cloud, and network environments, while enabling strong alignment between policy intent, control execution, and assurance validation. The individual will also support audit readiness, oversee remediation of control gaps, and drive improvements in compliance maturity through collaboration with key stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure adherence to Vodafone Cyber Security Baseline requirements and the CHARM control framework, providing guidance on applicability and intent
• Drive lifecycle compliance of security controls (e.g. hardening, patching, vulnerability management) across IT, cloud, and network domains
• Perform and support periodic control assessments, operational effectiveness reviews, and evidence validation to maintain continuous audit readiness
• Contribute as a subject matter expert in internal and external audits, including evidence preparation, remediation tracking, and clarification of control intent
• Provide governance oversight and control input for systems under development or undergoing change
• Lead, maintain, analyse, and present compliance dashboards, metrics, and trends for risk-based decision making
• Participate in cyber risk assessments, including risk identification, analysis, articulation, and mitigation tracking
• Engage with stakeholders across Technology, Architecture, and Service Ownership to address control gaps and prioritise remediation
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes through standardisation and automation

Who You Are

A professional with 9+ years of experience in Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), ideally within large or multi-market environments

• Highly knowledgeable in security governance models, control frameworks, and compliance lifecycle management
• Experienced in supporting internal and external audits, assurance reviews, and regulatory compliance
• Skilled in collaborating with diverse stakeholders and influencing security prioritisation
• Knowledgeable in IT Service Management (ITIL) and its integration with security controls
• Familiar with infrastructure, data centres, operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux), middleware, and cloud environments from a governance perspective
• Able to translate security requirements into actionable compliance expectations
• Well organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• A confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Certified in CISM or an equivalent GRC-focused certification
• Experienced in ISO27002 (or similar) implementation and control assurance practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (including advanced Excel) and Power Platform or similar dashboarding/automation tools
