Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) is seeking an experienced Secure by Design Solution Architect to design and deliver secure Product and IT solutions. The role requires hands-on development and architecture experience, with the ability to engage stakeholders and embed security into solution design across modern environments.

You will design secure solutions, develop HLDs/LLDs, and guide security for mobile, web apps and APIs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and cloud-based

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud technologies including containers and virtual machines.
• Strong understanding of API security and secure application development practices.
• Experience developing high-level designs (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD).
• Hands-on development for mobile and web applications.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust and microservices.
• Solid understanding of networks, firewalls, WAF, IP addressing and routing.
• Experience in risk and vulnerability management.
• Ability to work independently and manage stakeholders.

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Secure by Design Solution Architect with a strong technical focus to support the design and delivery of secure Product and IT solutions. This role is ideal for a professional with hands‑on development and architecture experience who can work independently, engage effectively with stakeholders, and embed security principles into solution design across modern technology environments.

What you’ll do

• Design secure Product and IT solutions, ensuring security requirements are incorporated from the earliest stages of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and review High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for applications and platforms.
• Provide technical guidance on mobile application, web application, and API security design.
• Support architecture reviews across cloud-based environments, including containers and virtual machines.
• Apply modern architectural principles such as Zero Trust and microservices-based design.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, and business stakeholders to define secure and scalable solutions.
• Evaluate network security considerations including firewalls, web application firewalls (WAF), zoning, IP addressing, routing, and network protocols.
• Contribute to risk and vulnerability management activities by identifying and addressing security gaps within solution designs.
• Promote Secure by Design practices across projects and programmes.

Who you are

• Demonstrated knowledge of cloud technologies, including containers and virtual machines.
• Strong understanding of API security and secure application development practices.
• Experience developing High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
• Hands‑on experience with mobile application and web application development.
• Familiarity with modern solutions architecture approaches, including Zero Trust and microservices.
• Solid understanding of networks, including firewalls, WAF, zoning, IP addressing, routing, and network protocols.
• Solid understanding of risk and vulnerability management.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Strong background in designing Product and IT solutions.
• Practical software development experience with a strong technical foundation.
