Job summary

Adani Power Raipur is seeking a senior Chemistry professional to oversee laboratory operations, ensure fuel quality, and manage safety compliance. The role includes monitoring ash parameters, inventory planning, sampling coordination, and instrument calibration.

The candidate will coordinate with C&I for SWAS and CPU system, prepare daily MIS, develop SOPs, conduct Health & Safety audits, and lead SMS/ IMS/5S initiatives while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Essential Qualification: Post-graduation degree in Chemistry B.E / B.Tech (Chemical Eng.)
• Desired Qualification: M.E / M.Tech (Chemical Eng.), Dip in Analytical Chemistry / Lab Analysis, Health & Safety Engineering courses, IMS Certification
• Experience Total : 13 - 18 Yrs

Responsibilities

• Ensure trouble-free operation of lab equipment and fuel quality assurance.
• Monitor ash parameters per norms.
• Plan and maintain fine chemical inventory.
• Coordinate sampling and analysis of fuel/coal.
• Coordinate with C&I for SWAS system and smooth running of the CPU system.
• Calibrate lab instruments.
• Prepare and submit daily MIS reports.
• Prepare and implement SOPs for the lab.
• Partake in SMS, dept. communication, IMS, 5S.
• Implement the Chetna activity in Chemistry.
• Be an element owner for the SMS System, authorize PTW personnel, review HIRA as needed.
• Implement Safe operation practices and ensure Health & Safety of personnel and equipment.
• Prepare mitigation plan for hazardous processes and conduct mock drills.
• Conduct Health & Safety audits for the department and hazardous processes; address observations.
• Comply with legal/statutory requirements pertaining to chemistry department.

Education

Post-graduation degree in Chemistry / B.E / B.Tech (Chemical Eng.)

M.E / M.Tech (Chemical Eng.)

Dip in Analytical Chemistry / Lab Analysis

Job description

Responsibilities
