Job summary

Grasim Industries Ltd - Staple Fibre Division (SFD) is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to plan and conduct analyses at the Laboratory and Effluent Treatment Laboratory for raw materials, chemicals, process and final products, and effluent samples.

The role involves carrying out lab and pilot-scale trials for continuous improvement in process and product quality and preparing reports to the concerned stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities:

Plan & conduct analysis at Laboratory & Effluent Treatment Laboratory as per schedule for raw material, incoming chemicals, stage process products, final products and effluent samples. Carryout lab/pilot scale trials for continuous improvement in process & product quality

Preferred candidate profile

Chemical Laboratory is engaged in the analytical work of collection & analysis of samples from various stages of in-process products, water from various stages of treatment, inlet streams to ETP and final treated effluent before discharge, analysis and submits report to the concerned.

• Furnishing accurate and timely results to user departments

KRA1

Quality Control -Inspection & Testing

• Organize collection of samples from respective points of all the departments
• Prepare sample as per procedure
• Analyze the sample as per the standard / procedures
• Accurate & timely reporting to the concerned and entry in SAP
• Prepare test reports in shifts & General shift as per schedule
• Ensure conformance of product quality to specifications, if not, inform to Manager

Process & Quality improvement

• Conduct lab/pilot scale trials in association with all concerned and analyze the samples
• Accurate & timely submission of trial results

Statutory Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure timely analysis of inlet & outlet streams of ETP for statutory compliance
• Ensure accuracy in making the analysis.
• Prepare test reports as per schedule.

People Development

• Train departmental workmen on new methods & new entrants
• Train the workmen on Safety matters
