Job description

Section Head – Process Safety Engineer – Andheri (Mumbai)

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the existing team to deliver projects for clients.
• Identify the safety engineering scope of work from the basis of design.
• Determine and estimate norms for the scope of work.
• Prepare and raise a suite of project deliverables, including procedures, design basis, HSE plans, and schedules of activities.
• Coordinate with cross‑disciplinary departments and manage client interface.
• Design active and passive fire protection systems and assess hazardous area classification and fireproofing.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL workshops and conduct fire & explosion analysis.
• Perform QRA studies and other fire protection related studies.
• Manage CTR, progress reporting, estimation of work scopes, and overall project timelines.
• Provide direction and mentorship to engineers, technicians, and technical specialists.
• Engage with the local community and stakeholders on consulting matters.
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance system and OH&S procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 20–30 years of professional experience in process safety engineering.
• Hands‑on management of company HSE requirements and implementation of safety & risk policies.
• Proficient in driving safe and sustainable engineering outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of SEAL methodology and commitment to continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental performance.

• Salary: Above ₹300,000 per month.
