Job summary

Balaji Railroad Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for railway electrification projects, including OHE and power distribution works. You will provide technical expertise during construction, review designs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality at multiple sites across major rail corridors.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical execution of rail projects or 8+ years in related roles with relevant railways or contractors.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum experience of 5 years or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum experience 8 years in execution of Electrical power supply installations / Railway Electrification projects (OHE/PSI).
• At least 3 years’ experience in SSE or equivalent Grade and above of Electrical Engineering department or of Railways and/or as AM and above in Electrical Engineering department in RITES/IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/ any JVs or SPVs with Ministry of Railways.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in construction.
• Installing and commissioning of all Electrical works and review the design/drawings (OHE, Feeder Wire, BEC, TSS, SP, SSP, SCADA, HT/LT modification work).
• Coordinate construction planning, monitor progress, supervise quality and safety at sites, develop work procedures, inspection and testing procedures, and train field engineers.
• Report to Sector Expert (Electrical/TRD) and Resident Engineer (Electrical).
• Coordinate Power and Traffic Block movements and ensure safety management as per TOR.

Job Description

He will be responsible for providing technical expertise inconstruction.

Installing and commissioning ofall Electrical works and review the design/ drawings in respect of allElectrical works (i.e., OHE, FeederWire, Buried Earth Conductor (BEC), TSS, SP,SSP, SCADA, Electrical General Service, HT/LT modification work etc.) in the aforesaidcontract.

Responsible for constructionplanning, monitoring progress of Electrical work, supervising/ensuringcompliance of quality, safety standards at work sites, development of work procedures,inspection and testing procedures, training the field engineers such as Sectionengineers/site Engineers, billing /measurement, checking of all constructionand all related activities for the assigned jurisdiction.

He will report to the Sector Expert(Elect).

He shall be responsible for coordinating the Power and TrafficBlock from the Control of concerned jurisdiction & coordinate for themovement of Machines, Tower Wagons etc.

He shall be responsible for safety management system as perthe Consultancy TOR, including reporting/ managing incidence/ accident reports,site inspections, safety drills/ trainings to site personnel about safety, ensuringadherence to safety procedures, assisting Resident Engineer in changing themethod statements and work procedures on safety considerations.

He will report to Sector Expert (Electrical/TRD) and alsoreport to Resident Engineer (Electrical).
